The Emery Story
A Restaurant Built for the Neighborhood
Emery opened in December 2020 with the goal of creating a polished-casual restaurant that would feel at home on Mariemont Square. We wanted to complement the neighborhood's character and the other outstanding restaurants nearby. From the beginning, Emery was designed to contribute to the rhythm of the Square. A place where guests could gather comfortably, return often, and mark life’s small and significant moments alike.
Our vision was simple: refined dining without formality, thoughtful food without pretense.
A Chef-Driven Menu
At the heart of Emery is a chef team with a genuine passion for seafood. That enthusiasm shapes the menu in quiet yet meaningful ways, from thoughtfully sourced selections to seasonal preparations that highlight balance, texture, and restraint. Seafood has become a defining thread throughout the menu, earning Emery a reputation as a go-to destination on Cincinnati’s East Side for guests who appreciate expertly prepared seafood alongside seasonal American dishes. The menu evolves throughout the year, but the approach remains consistent: ingredients treated with respect, flavors built with intention, and dishes designed to feel both elevated and approachable.

Emery was thoughtfully created to offer distinct dining experiences under one roof. Downstairs, the atmosphere is relaxed, pub-style, and ideal for casual evenings with friends and family. Upstairs is imbued with an easy elegance. A cozy booth room offers an intimate setting, while the cocktail lounge and main dining room provide a polished setting for business dinners, date nights, and celebratory occasions. This layered design allows Emery to create the right ambiance for any occasion while remaining consistently welcoming.
